Matt Deeb

Matt founded Nonprofit Consulting Services in 2022 to focus solely on providing financial and operational support services to nonprofit and foundation clients. He is drawn to the energy, ingenuity, and passion within this sector. Matt employs his 25+ years of accounting, finance, and investment experience to help nonprofit leaders improve their organization's financial processes, infrastructure, communication, and reporting. Most nonprofits do not have the resources to hire a full-time CFO. Matt believes that by serving as a fractional CFO, he can be a cost effective solution for nonprofits and foundations. His goal is to free up leaders' time through the implementation of financial/operational efficiencies and by removing tasks from their to-do lists. Partnering with clients in this way enables leadership to focus on managing their team and creating a greater impact within the community they serve.

Prior to opening his consulting practice, Matt was the CFO of The Healing Trust, a Nashville-based private foundation. During his 14-year tenure, Matt was responsible for overseeing a $100+ million investment portfolio and all financial aspects of the organization. He was a member of the grant review team and through this work learned a great deal about the operational, financial, and governance challenges that non-profit organizations face. Matt also has public accounting and investment advisory experience.

Matt grew up in Tallahassee, Florida and has undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Finance from Florida State University. He currently serves on the West End Home Foundation Investment Committee. Matt and his wife, Beth, have lived in Nashville since 2000 and enjoy seeing films at the Belcourt, live music, and reading.
